Hit Awards, S.H.E events and Family Gathering

It was a tiring weekend for me at the first weekend of this month.

The reason behind the tiredness was because of the lack of sleep and endless rushing for time.

Although the company off-day on 6 Oct, Friday was cancelled I still took half-day.

That day was a total rush for me.

After ending work, I took an hour bus ride to Jurong West for my organ lesson. After that I rushed down to ION to meet up with Little Prince and Little Princess who were already at OSIM press conference and have a good standing spot.

However no matter how I rushed I only managed to get to ION at 4pm, which was the scheduled start time for the press conference due to traffic jam and the bus moving so slowly. Luckily in the end the press conference was delayed and only started at around 5pm so I didn't miss out anything at all.

Press conference is seriously the best thing ever. There are just too many things for you to pick up and yy. Hehe....

After the half an hour press conference, the three of us made our way down to Kallang for the Singapore Hits Awards.

Initially it was just Little Prince and me but Little Princess' friends had extra tickets and they asked her along so the three of us went together. Since there was still a little time left we went to Little Prince's house which is nearby to dump out the photos she has taken at ION from the camera to her laptop.

We got to Singapore Indoor Stadium close to 7:30pm and quickly got in to settle down. Our seats wasn't that bad after all the stage was just right in front of us XD

Throughout the show we were basically just shouting non-stop. When pictures of the nominees came on we start shouting.

Overall the performance of the artistes were really good. Lala 徐嘉瑩 never fails to amaze me when she performed 《失落沙洲》 and 《身騎白馬》. It was really really good. Love her vocals!

Jam Hsiao 蕭敬騰 is just too cute to be missed. Of course his life performance that night was great too.

Mayday was a slight disappointment cause they lowered the key of the songs they performed. But nonetheless, they managed to get everyone present high!

S.H.E totally rocks! That night was like their concert night, the only difference was that they only sang 4 songs. Darn! I can't wait to see their concert happening right here in Singapore!

The whole award ceremony was only supposed to be from like 7:30pm to 10:30pm however everything went out of schedule. The program didn't start until around 8:30pm so the whole show ended at close to 12am.

Luckily there was a late night chartered bus service which takes us to different spots in Singapore so my sister and I took the bus to Jurong East and cab home.

By the time we got home it was already 1 plus in the morning and by the time we cleared everything and went to bed it was nearly 2am. However that still did not stop me from waking up early the next day.

Well, actually it did stop me. I was supposed to be out of bed at 4:40am but I only woke up at 5:10am when my mum came to wake me up =P

After showering and a quick breakfast, I took the direct bus to Causeway Point. I thought I would like fall asleep during the bus ride or while waiting but surprisingly I didn't.

Anyway, the whole arrangement at the venue sucks badly.

A lot of people were there early some in fact queued overnight bacause it was announced previously that S.H.E would only be signing for 1500 people. However because the space in the mall was filled with the products S.H.E endorsed we were not able to get in. All of us just waited outside until they start autographing then were we able to move into the mall slowly.

Since S.H.E had to rush for a flight the autograph session went by very fast. They basically just signed on the items that we brought up, looked up to smile at us, say thanks and zoom, we were gone.

Little Prince, Little Princess and I stayed around until the trio left since it was like kinda early and we had nothing to do plus they were signing pretty fast so it was like they would finish everything up soon.

As expected, the whole event ended at around 3 plus or 4. Consider fast for an autograph session.

Since my mum and sister were there too, I left with them to my grandmother's place to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. And since Little Prince and Little Princess were going the same way too, we travelled together.

My feet was literally in pain as we walked from the MRT station to my grandmother's place. The shoes were biting into my skin and it hurts like hell.

The first thing I did when I got to my grandmother's place was to get out of my shoes and gave my feet some breathing space.

After some lazing around, I accompanied my mum and aunts to the bakery nearby to get some more snacks.

It wasn't exactly a big party. Just everyone of the family gathered at my grandmother's house, had buffet, talked and laughed.

Mum and aunt arranging my favourite food =D

additional food we brought back from the bakery

this is what I call nice and delicious egg tarts! love it!

the pineapple tart that my mum bought home from that bakery is nice too :D

the place that sells egg tarts that i love~~~~~~~~~

That night there was the tv telecast of the Hit Awards held the previous night so some of my cousins together with my sister and I, we stayed in my aunt's room and watched the tv.

Throughout the whole show, I was feeling quite tired and bored cause they edited out a lot of the funny/interesting that happened during the award ceremony. However something appeared on the screen and made me scream!

Our CE board appeared!!!!

Man, that was the happiest thing I felt for that night. But I scared my cousins and one of my aunts who happened to be in the room at that time =P

After the program ended, all of us left for home family by family. Before ending the post, just some pictures taken that day.

picture perfect... almost. Grandma with her grandchildren and great grandchildren :D

A goodbye kiss from my cousin's pretty daughter. Mucks!

Lastly, since it's grandma's birthday so as the most loved granddaughter that she looked after since I was young, it's only right that I post a picture that I took with her that day :D

2nd Trip to Taiwan

Finally reached our hotel in Taipei last night at around 9pm after sitting hours on the flight and the bus.

The hotel was so much better than what I expected. The whole place was really comfy.
Didn't do much last night since it was already late when we reached so we just walked around nearby and brought pizza back to the room to eat. Although we had sandwich and hot drinks as soon as we got off the plane but after hours we were just simply too hungry =P

Full encounter to come when I get back :D

In Taiwan (Last part)

1 January 2009 --- The last day of the trip...

Since I only managed to like sleep at 2am in the morning the night before, for the first time since the trip I woke up at 10am.

After washing up and doing the packing up Sarah and I decided to roam around Ximending for a bit before I have to leave for the airport.

While walking I decided to take a picture of this big dog:

Since the first day I arrived I already saw this dog sitting outside the shop. All I can say that this dog is really obedient. It doesn't bark or move around. All it does is stay outside the shop or sometimes it will just lie down.

After some walking we walked into Yoshinoya to have our lunch.

We sat there for a couple of hours and chatted over tea. At around 2 plus we made our way back to the hotel for me to get my luggage and wait for the bus to take me to the airport.

To end the whole trip off, let's just see some random pictures taken on the bus :)

Finally, finally, finally!!!
Finally all post of my Taiwan trip are all done! Phew....
To end this off, I'll drop another bomb....
I AM FLYING TO TAIWAN TOMORROW!!!!
YAY!!!! 5 days of fun!!!

Missing you

20102007 --- The day we lost you forever.....

It has been 2 years since the day you left us. Sometimes I still wonder.

Why did God decide to bring you back beside him so soon?

Is it because he loves you more than all of us so he wants you back by his side?

Maybe that's the reason why

When we went to visit you on Saturday and saw how C cry her heart out again I just can't stop the tears from flowing.

I believe that you know that we all miss you and I believe that you would never want us to cry or feel sad over your departure. But sometimes.... we just can't help it....

My dear friend, all I can say now is.... we still miss you.

RIP.....................................

In Taiwan (Part 7)

31 December 2008 --- The last day of 2008 and a long long long day for me.

Woke up early once again and after refreshing ourselves, Jowyn and I packed our luggage and prepare to move again.

We pulled our luggage along the already busy ShiLin streets and boarded the train to Ximending where our hotel is located. Since we were early for the check-in, we left our luggage at the counter and went off to start our day.

The first thing we did was to made our way to National Chengchi University (政大) where Sarah was studying at to take a look around her school. Since we haven't had breakfast, after meeting up with Sarah at the entrance of her school, we went to have our breakfast.

yup, it's riceball again but this time its healthier cause of the rice used
After breakfast, we went to the supermart located in the school and in there we got a few surprises as there were a lot of drinks endorsed by S.H.E and Fahrenheit sold there.

Since we could not bring everything back, we took pictures of some of the bottles.

After getting the things we needed from the supermart, we walked back to Sarah's hostel and waited while she got the things she needed for the day.

After which we made our way to Mirama to take the famous ferris wheel and enjoy the view of the rainy day up in the booth.

the mini round-a-bout beside the ferris wheel

After we finish our ride on the ferris wheel, we made our way to have desert at a very famous ice-cream palour.

with my favourite Reese chocolate in it :D yum yum
After the delicious and satisfying desert, Sarah and I made our way to Taipei Main Station while Jowyn went back to the hotel to collect her luggage and met up with her friend.

It was still early when Sarah and I arrived at the Taipei Main Station so we decided to shop around at Eslite Bookstore and Taipei 101.

failed attempt at getting a picture of me with the 101 =P

love this picture the most but the colour seems weird

Every year at the City Hall of Taipei there is a big countdown party. I was fortunate to be part of the crowd to witness the beautiful lightings, concert and wonderful fireworks last year.

I was supposed to post pictures of the concert but I'm simply too lazy so I'll skip that. I'll just roughly recap who were the artistes who performed that night.

Sodagreen(蘇打綠), S.H.E, Da Mouth(大嘴巴), A-mei(張惠妹), Mayday(五月天). I believe there was somemore but pardon my memory=P

That night was definitely memorable. Standing in the cold night from 7pm to around 2am. After that we walked a long way to the train station and squeezed to get into the train. A night like this, how can I ever forget about it?

Maybe to end off on a good note, I'll post pictures of the beautiful 101 that night:

In Taiwan (Part 6)

30 December 2008 - Woke up early once again and started preparing for our day's activities.

After meeting up with Sarah at our hotel and getting our breakfast of rice ball from a nearby stall at ShinLin Metro Station. After which we boarded the bus and headed for the National Palace Museum. The weather that day wasn't exactly good. It was raining since morning but luckily it wasn't heavy. We ate our rice balls outside the National Palace Museum and after that started touring around the place.

if I remembered correctly this was the sweet rice ball so there were peanuts in it

The place was so big and had so many exhibiton halls that it took us a couple of hours to finish. Quite a number of exhibits were interesting but too bad that we weren't allow to take any photos in the museum. However we still made use of the beautiful sceneries and took some photos.

the photo-taking skills of this person is really .....

this photo of us was like the best taken cause the Japanese who help us took it has really good skills =)

a unique looking trash can found at the museum grounds

By the time we got back to ShiLin Metro Station it was about time for lunch so we decided to make our way down to PS Bubu Restaurant which is located in Tianmu for our lunch. Although this is another theme restaurant but the food is much nicer than the one served at Modern Toilet Restaurant =P

can guess what theme restaurant it is already?

the car plates of different cities were used to decorate the restaurant

the little pink car that we sat in

the food was nice....

a pleasant surprise we got at the restaurant

It was still raining by the time we finish lunch but that still didn't spoil our mood. We, well actually only me decided to do something crazy. I got Sarah to take us to HIM main office.

Hehe... Since the record company was the only office on the whole level we didn't really know what to do except to just roam around looking at the posters which they had stick outside. After going to the loo, I decided that since we are there I might as well go ask if they were selling the S.H.E dolls. However, they gave me a negative answer.

Since there was nothing much we could do there, we exited the building and slowed walked in the rain to the Taipei Arena which was nearby.

Upon arriving at Taipei Arena we sat down at Starbucks to have a cup of coffee and rest at the same time.

After some rest, we walked to Sogo where I got some 太陽餅 for my family. Seriously the 太陽餅 was great. The taste and everything was really nice.

Then we took the train and went to do some shopping. After getting the shirt that my sister wanted me to help her get we decided to explore ShiDa Night Market (師大夜市).

Since we were there at around 6plus we had our dinner too.

The food was just alright so after some more walking we went to a shop which Sarah recommends to have our desert.

i love the vandalism on the glass

yummy yummy!

This marks the end of the day we spent in Taipei.

If I'm not wrong there is just another 2 posts to end this all. Hopefully I can end this next week =P

The Weekend

The weeks have been getting more and more boring, that's why there isn't much update here. Since I went out last Saturday might as well give a short update.

Met up with Rongyi at Ang Mo Kio last Saturday and passed her the project Royal Force had done. After that took the train with King and went to Bukit Gombak to collect the DBSK stuffs that she had ordered online.

Since King made a long way down all the way from the east to the west, we decided to like roam around. Inital plan was to go down to IMM but since queen can't be spotted there we changed plans and went to Lot 1 for lunch while waiting for Queen to arrive.

In the end King and I ended up slacking the rest of the day at Queen's house cause she got guests and couldn't come out so we went over.

Did nothing for the rest of the day except going gaga over DBSK photobook and lazing around.

In Taiwan (Part 5)

29 December --- Jowyn and I woke up at around 7am that day. We bathed, packed our things and left the luggage at the reception. Then we took the shuttle bus from opposite our hotel to National Chi Nan University which was where Hana Kimi was filmed.

a picture showing our hotel amidst the other shops along the road

We met up with Jowyn's friend who is a student there. She brought us to the canteen where we got our breakfast. Then we went to the library after that so that she could tell us where to explore while she went off to settle some work.

We spent some time in the library after Jowyn's friend went for work. After exploring the library we started on our tour around the school to look at the shooting places of Hana Kimi.

the hotstels which appeared in the drama was filmed in the woman dormitory.....

familiar views of the hostel area

walkway leading to the hostel

At around 12:30pm or close to 1pm we made our way out of the school and back to our hotel.

However after we alighted we went to a warehouse situated nearby another bought quite a lot of local products. Hehe... Since Puli is famous for its wine, the whole warehouse sold products made of wine. There were wine sausages, wine chocolates, wine biscuits, etc. The surprising thing with wine was ice-cream and it was nice. We bought a lot of food stuff there back as well.

the wine peanut ice-cream I had tasted like the normal ice-cream

Initially Jowyn wanted to go to Sun Moon Lake with her friend while I made my way back to Taipei however it was raining so they decided to drop the plan. Hence Jowyn and I went to the bus station to catch an afternoon bus back from Puli to Taipei.

The bus journey was so long that I spent like half the journey sleeping. We only managed to get to Taipei Main Station at 7:30pm after like 4 hours of bus ride.

Since going back to Taipei that early was like kinda unexpected, we nearly could not get a hotel. Luckily Jowyn's friend managed to help us find one in ShiLin Night Market and Sarah was there to meet us at Taipei Main Station to bring us to the hotel. Luckily we had her to help us because it definitely helped us to find the hotel faster.

After setting our luggage and relieving ourselves we took the train and went to Ximending because we wanted to go to the Modern Toilet Restaurant situated there to give it a try and of course to have our late dinner.

P/S: The shirt beside the signboard looks nice =P

the appetitizer which was a bowl of soup that I can't remember what it was =P

the cup of tea that I had. I know what it looks like so don't comment.....

baked rice to fill the hungry stomach

desert of ice-cream to end off the meal although it didn't taste really nice

The overall atmostphere of the restaurant was rather good but the food was just alright only. I wouldn't really recommend that you go there for the food but if you want the ambience or see how is it like then it is fine.

After having our dinner we shopped around in Ximending for a bit before we bid goodbye. Since our hotel was in ShiLin Night Market, Jowyn and I took the chance to shop a bit before heading back to rest.

This post is already so backdated. Haiz... There's still about 3 more posts to ending this Taiwan trip so bear with it =P
